Romance in Traditional Japanese Machiya   

You'll be staying in a free standing townhouse with 3 bedrooms, fully renovated inside and out with brand new Panasonic living stations and Japanese appliances. You also get to enjoy the fancy, automated bathroom and toilet bidets you often read about. It comes fully equipped for a comfortable, convenient and private holiday stay. It will be a lot more spacious than the tiny Japanese hotel rooms which usually accommodate up to two persons only.

Have a quiet dinner at home in the Machiya, soak in the hot tub with our complimentary herbal bath salts, have a cup of green tea in the tatami tea room, rest and sleep on snug futons with plush underlays. The interior is furnished Japanese style with zabutons and floor cushions in place of your typical lounge so you learn to sit seiza, the Japanese way of sitting :-).

There's Kyoto Aquarium less than 5 minutes away with 9 zones of activities and dolphin performances, UNESCO Nishihonganji Temple, Umekoji Park with its Steam Locomotive Museum with its mini train rides and a large scale miniature train display which actually runs, all within less than 10 minutes walk. There's the Toji Temple markets with Toji Temple being another UNESCO heritage site itself. You are surrounded by 7-Eleven, Circle K convience stores at either side and a bus-stop in front which has buses to GION and other attractions. We have a few favourite eateries near our door step. Food, essentials, activities, sightseeing, all checked.

Experience the Japanese way of life in the pretty Nishisuya neighbourhood. You will be staying in a very clean, safe and exclusive neighborhood.
